Unique History
In 1979, Yolo Hospice was founded by local volunteers who wanted to provide our community with needed hospice services. Jack Berger, M.D., Lefty Schultz, minister, Nancy Dubois, psychologist, and Lois Jacob, R.N. established Yolo Hospice based on the principle of caring for the mind, body and spirit of each person facing a life-limiting illness.Yolo Hospice has expanded to meet the diversifying needs of our growing community. As a not-for-profit organization, Yolo Hospice remains devoted to our mission, core values, volunteer roots and community.
